Jacquelyn Serrano

Jacquelyn Serrano is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in San Bernardino, CA, to Mexican and Salvadorian parents. Her work is informed by gender-based experiences, trauma, and her sociocultural background. She explores these themes in tandem with the intricate layers of humanity that permeate both physical and digital landscapes.

Serrano graduated with honors from the University of California, Berkeley in 2020 with a double major in Art Practice and Ethnic Studies, further solidifying her commitment to addressing critical social issues through her art. She received the 2021 Theresa Hak Kyung Cha Award through the Berkeley Art and Pacific Film Archive.

Currently, she is the Media Manager for ShadowLight Productions, applying her expertise to various collaborative projects. Among her recent collaborative works with the company are “Chagall in His Own Words: An Invocation” (2025) and “Sojourner ZY” (2023).
